For all intents and purposes, I plan to call the start of this grow as 4/20. Not as much for the cheap weed humor but just because I can never remember the day I start my grows.
I do not have strong opinions on germination other than that germination often seems to be overcomplicated by folks. Myself I use the paper-towel-in-ziplock to great success.
I do have a piece of tech – a vivosun warming seed mat – that I would not really recommend. Not because it doesn’t work but because I don’t really believe it changed anything with respect to germination. That being said, I spent the money so I use it. Basically I fold a kitchen towel over the bag and roll the towel/bag/mat combo up like sushi and put it in the seed mat box.
