Anonymous traffic and action counts

The site records daily totals for a small set of public actions, such as starting a tool, completing a Tail Factor round, voting for a photograph, downloading public readings, sharing a planner link, or following an external link. Each total contains the date, action type, public page path, and a short category label. It does not contain submitted tool values, names, email addresses, IP addresses, or a persistent visitor identifier.

These counts are stored with the site's private application database and backups. A short-lived, one-way value derived from a network address may be used separately to limit automated abuse. It is not included in analytics reports.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

GrowActuary may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregate page traffic, referral sources, general device and browser categories, approximate country, and page performance. Cloudflare states that this service does not collect or use visitors' personal data. Its dashboard retains six months of Web Analytics data.

Functional browser storage

The age confirmation uses a cookie so returning visitors are not asked on every page. Owner sign-in uses a secure session cookie. Best Shots uses a random session value to remember votes in the current browser, and Tail Factor can store a best score locally. These values are used for the feature that created them, not for traffic profiling.

Public interactions and external services

Best Shots votes are stored under a one-way pseudonymous value. A Tail Factor leaderboard name is public when a visitor chooses to submit one. Links and some product images come from external sites; visiting or loading those resources is subject to the external site's own practices. Affiliate links are labeled.

Your choices

The first-party action counter respects supported Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Disabling JavaScript also prevents browser-based analytics and interactive-event reporting, although essential server and security logs may still be created by the hosting platform.
