If it’s not the top question, probably one of the first questions you may ask with a grow is what I can expect as a yield. The obvious first answer is check the seed supplier but realistically I’m not sure I can trust their numbers and even if I could, there is no guarantee that I can accomplish what they have been able to.
My approach to an a priori will be this: Take my yield on the last grow relative to the published yields, and then take that percentage and apply to this strain’s published yields. This is going to be rough because there is a ton unaccounted for. Here’s just a few that come to mind:
-
- The breeders are different from this and the last run
-
- I will be running 4 x 5G pots versus 4 x 7G
-
- Last grow was weighed after some overdrying
-
- Two completely different strains
While some of these are significant, it’s an estimate and I don’t care to do more work than this.
