The original Mandarin Cookies V2 planning range is 460–555 g (16.2–19.6 oz) of dried flower, with roughly 510 g (18.0 oz) as its midpoint. This is a rough estimate for four plants in a 4 × 4 ft tent, excluding trim. The historical adjustment still needs checking because my White Widow records disagree.
The harvest figures behind it
| Reference | Tent-scale baseline | Reported flower | Share of baseline |
|---|---|---|---|
| White Widow in the original estimate | 738 g | 459 g | 62.2% |
| White Widow archive | Same 738 g reference | 414 g | 56.1% |
| Pink Banana Runtz | 780 g | 482 g | 61.8% |
The earlier estimate reports 564 g total minus 105 g of dry trim, giving 459 g of White Widow flower. The archive lists 414 g. The record does not explain the 45 g difference, so I cannot treat the two grows as confirmation of a stable 62% adjustment.
Pink Banana Runtz finished close to its original 485 g midpoint within a 416–555 g range. That is one encouraging comparison; it does not establish how often this method will be accurate.
What the Mandarin sources say
| Source | Reported yield | Use in this estimate |
|---|---|---|
| ETHOS | High | Breeder’s qualitative claim; no numerical baseline |
| DrGreen retailer listing | 450–600 g/m² | Lower numerical proxy |
| Saltón Verde retailer listing | 500–600 g/m² | Proxy used in the calculation |
| GrowDiaries | 58 g/plant headline | On October 3, only one displayed harvest listing had a numerical weight |
| Detailed grow report | 737 g from four plants in a 5 × 5 ft tent | Setup-specific context |
The detailed report used 5-gallon pots, FoxFarm Ocean Forest, a 730 W bar light, and about 46 mol/m²/day in flower. Its 737 g excluded larf. Scaling by footprint alone gives about 472 g for a 4 × 4 ft tent (737 × 16/25); that conversion cannot account for the different light or canopy.
Calculation and sensitivity
A 4 × 4 ft footprint is about 1.49 m². The original 459/738 and 482/780 shares average about 62%. The estimate applies that share to the 500–600 g/m² retailer proxy:
1.49 m² × 500–600 g/m² × 62% = 462–554 g, rounded to the recorded 460–555 g range.
The bounds come from the retailer’s range, not from measured forecast errors. They do not establish how likely a harvest is to fall between them.
Using the archive’s 414 g in the same calculation gives an average share of about 59% and roughly 440–530 g. This shows the effect of the conflicting input; it does not resolve which White Widow weight belongs in the comparison.
What carries over
The Mandarin grow started on September 21, 2026, with four seedlings kept for the tent. The footprint remains 4 × 4 ft, but the IONFRAME EVO6 replaces the two XS2000 lights recorded for the earlier grows. Light distribution, canopy fill, training, and the flower-versus-trim cutoff can move the result. ETHOS also reports a 60–63 day flowering time and says about 20% of plants remain half-height.
The recorded prior is useful as a starting reference. The next assessment needs a reconciled White Widow weight and the Mandarin canopy record, rather than a narrower range from these sparse comparisons.
